Success comes in many forms and perspectives, but I want to share some things that have been helping me along my journey, as it just might help you.
I like to pretty consistently use a brain-dump, keep goals simple, celebrate and give thanks for what I have!
Let me explain... I got into journaling all of my emotions and thoughts daily in the 90's with Julia Cameron's book and process called The Artist's Way, way before brain-dumping was a thing. Similar to a brain-dump, it was a great way to start the day or week, releasing mental clutter onto paper.
In a brain-dump, you write out all of what you need to do, in a journal, creating room in your mind to work on more important things. You can create bullet point items in your journal and even add due dates to each. One thing I have learned (as someone whose struggled with focus) is that having just 1-3 items to do per day works best. Keep it simple and check it off the list. Then you can feel a sense of accomplishment and go to bed in peace.
Oh and take a moment to celebrate (this is one I'd like to do more often), with an inner smile, a shimmy, a sticker or a coin in a jar for what's been accomplished. It's a way to embody the feeling and get your endorphins moving, noticing when you've done something good for yourself!
Then, there's gratitude that feeds our feelings of having-ness, of "YES, I'm worthy and my needs and desires are met". Acknowledging when things are going well, activates more of a flow of goodness.
Which of these do you already do? Which are you are ready to try?
So Much Love and Wishing You Deep Blessings for an Amazing and Productive 2020, Vivian
